STAMPED CONCRETE.

Poured concrete with the look of stone, brick, slate, or wood — at concrete-level pricing. Properly cut, reinforced, and finished to handle Utah freeze-thaw.

Why this matters

STONE LOOK,
CONCRETE PRICE.

Stamped concrete is poured concrete patterned with rubber stamps and colored to mimic natural materials. The result is a patio that looks like flagstone, slate, or brick at roughly half to two-thirds the price of the real thing.

Done right — with proper expansion joints, fiber or rebar reinforcement, and a UV-stable sealer — stamped concrete in Northern Utah will last 20+ years. Done wrong, you'll see hairline cracks within five.

FAQ

STAMPED CONCRETE QUESTIONS.

How does stamped concrete compare to pavers?

Lower upfront cost (~30% less), faster install. But concrete cracks over time in Utah freeze-thaw — even properly done, you'll see hairline cracks within 10-15 years. Pavers don't crack as a system.

Will it crack?

Eventually, yes — that's the trade-off vs pavers. We use control joints, fiber reinforcement, and proper base to push the timeline as far out as possible. Most cracks are hairline and cosmetic.

How often does it need re-sealing?

Every 3-5 years in Northern Utah. Re-seal cost is typically $1-2/sqft.

Can it be repaired if it cracks?

Hairline cracks can be filled and re-sealed. Major cracks require a section replacement, which never quite blends. Pavers are easier to repair.

Color choices?

Hundreds — we mock up samples on-site before pour. Two-color systems (base + accent) are most common.

How does it hold up to ice melt and snow?

Sealed concrete handles ice melt fine. We recommend calcium chloride or sand over rock salt — rock salt is harder on the surface.
