PERGOLAS & SHADE.

Wood, aluminum, and steel pergolas integrated with your patio — or have us connect you to our sister brand, Peak Shades, for the full lineup including motorized awnings and sun sails.

Why this matters

PATIO + SHADE
= USABLE.

Utah summer afternoons hit 95°+ — a patio without shade gets used at 7 AM and 7 PM. Add a pergola, awning, or sail, and the same patio becomes useful all day.

We build pergolas integrated with our patio installs (single quote, single team). For more specialized shade systems — motorized awnings, retractable canopies, sun sails — we hand off to our sister brand Peak Shades. Either way, it's one phone call.

FAQ

PERGOLAS & SHADE STRUCTURES QUESTIONS.

Can a pergola attach to my house?

Yes — we engineer the connection to handle snow and wind loads. Sometimes called an attached pergola or arbor.

Snow load — will it hold?

Every pergola we build is engineered for the local snow load. Park City is heavier than SLC; we spec accordingly.

Permits required?

Pergolas over a certain size or attached to the house typically require a permit. We pull them.

Difference between pergola and Peak Shades' awning?

Pergola is fixed structure with rafters/louvers. Awning is a fabric/extruded shade that retracts. Different systems for different needs.

Can a pergola support climbing plants?

Yes — we design for vine load (wisteria, grapes, etc) when that's part of the plan.

Wood vs aluminum — which lasts longer?

Aluminum, by far. Wood pergolas need re-staining every 3-5 years.
