Engineered block, stone, and timber retaining walls — solving slope problems on Utah's bench properties since 2006. Built to code, built to hold.
Retaining walls do two jobs: they hold back grade so you can build flat usable space, and they look good doing it. We design walls that are structurally engineered for the load, properly drained behind, and aesthetically integrated with your patio system.
Walls under 4' tall typically don't require permits in most Utah jurisdictions. Taller walls require structural engineering — which we coordinate. Either way, we don't cut corners on backfill drainage. A wall that fails is almost always a wall that wasn't drained.
Modular concrete blocks. Cost-effective, durable, geogrid-reinforced for taller walls. Most common.
Best value
Hand-set boulders or cut stone. Most expensive, most natural look.
Premium
Wood walls — cheaper but shorter lifespan (15-25 years). Good for budget projects.
Budget
Walls over 4' get structural engineering. Geogrid layout designed for the load.
Excavated to spec depth. Compacted crushed-stone leveling base.
Blocks set course by course, geogrid laid into block courses for soil reinforcement.
